Coach's Blog 2020
From Paige Hershey, SBISD Athletic Director concerning last week's Varsity St. Agnes Meet
Just a short time ago, our high school track coaches at all four high schools received an email from the Director of Athletics at St. Agnes Academy, indicating there is a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 within the St. Thomas Catholic High School community, and that an individual who had direct exposure with the affected person attended the St. Agnes Relays that St. Agnes hosted on Thursday, March 12th at their East Campus Athletics Complex. According to the communication from the athletic director, both the affected and exposed individuals are self-quarantining at home.
Out of an abundance of caution, it is advised that anyone who may been at the track meet on Thursday, March 12, monitor their health, follow the CDC guidelines for “people who have had close contact,” https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/guidance-prevent-spread.html and contact their primary care physician if they develop symptoms.
